US Flag IN Flag

I hope you enjoy your tour of the constantly changing N&S facilities. One of the biggest changes that occured recently is that I moved the whole site to a new server. There aren't too many changes that are readily apparent, especially if you've never visited here before or infrequently. I've got some changes in mind, but it may take me a while to implement them.

The N&S has existed for a number of years in various scales and gauges. I am currently working on a small-format design in N Scale. Check out the layout link if you're interested.

I have never really considered a unique paint scheme for a locomotive, probably because there are so many prototype schemes that I am drawn to. Since the N&S is really a small line and buys off of the used market place, I imagined that I would just adapt whatever scheme is on the home road we bought from. As the N&S fleet grows, here's how one loco might look (if no image, hit "refresh" on your browser)...

If you don't want to have to keep hitting "refresh," you can CLICK HERE to see variations in several different types of locomotives.

Where do you find your inspiration? I've collected a few RAILROAD VIDEOS to get ideas on how railroading is done on a 1:1 scale.

Comments, criticisms, or just wanting to shoot the breeze?
